Three of us for supper after a Bookworks event. Three different items, each exactly what we wanted, and each perfectly prepared. Best place to eat.

I never worry about recommending Flying Star because the quality is assured and the menu is extensive enough that everyone will find what they want. And then the desserts. Always a pleasure to dine at your place. Also love the petio.

Good good at a reasonable price and a great outdoor patio. What more could you want?

Four for supper, each had what they wanted and everyone was happy. Best place in town for casual dining and great ambiance for visiting.

I love the Flying Star at Rio Grande. They're very consistent with their food and the ambiance is WONDERFUL. I drive about 20 minutes to get here because of it.

Best place in Albuquerque to take a guest. The menu always has something for everyone, good service and the petio is a great place for visiting, even in the summer heat. And of course, the strawberry rhubarb pie.

Service was great and the grilled Mac and cheese sandwich was awesome!

Food exactly as I hope, great selection so everyone in the party had what they wanted. Always the best restaurant to take friends who have different expectations, but also want to be able to sit and visit.

Built in 1999, our Rio Grande café is located on old Rural Route 3, now known as Rio Grande. It has a rose garden, a flower filled patio under a giant cottonwood and a big, stone fireplace (real wood). Bookworks, our favorite local bookstore, and other great shops are just a few steps away. The café is situated near the water ways, the river, horse (there is a hitching post) and biking trails, the Rio Grande Community Farm, Casa Rodena Winery, Los Ranchos’ Growers’ Market and the Open Space are all nearby.
